Description

**As of April 21, 2022 Project has been awarded. Award amount is $436,497.50.** The Road Improvement base project includes, generally, but is not limited to: 1) Police Traffic Directors - up to 440 man hours. 2) Milling Pavement Full 2 inch Depth - up to 11,300 square yards. 3) Bituminous Concrete Surface Course, HMA 12.5M64 - up to 1,700 tons. 4) Drainage Inlets w/ New Frame & Grate - up to 14 units. 5) Reinforced Concrete Pipe 15 In Dia - up to 880 linear feet. 6) PVC Pipe 6 In Dia Sched 40 drains - up to 550 linear feet. 7) Granite Block Curb (large) - up to 6,660 linear feet. 8) Manhole Reset W/ New Castings - up to 15 units. 9) Tree Removal, Various Dia - up to 10 each. 10) Topsoil, Fert & Seed - up to 4,500 square yards. The Borough of Madison reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities therein and to accept any bid that will be in the best interest of the Borough of Madison according to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1. The Borough of Madison reserves the right to delete sections of work from the contract after the award of the bid has been made due to funding or other reasons. The prices bid for various items of work shall not be adjusted due to the deletion of any work due to the variation of any quantity for the various items scheduled in the Proposals. The Borough of Madison reserves the right to make separate purchase awards for various sizes and kinds of materials or equipment required. The contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, creed, color, sex or national origin and to the greatest extent possible, opportunities for training and employment shall be given to lower-income residents of the project area and that, when possible, contracts shall be awarded to business concerns owned by area residents. Bids for proposals in excess of $l00,000 must be accompanied by a written Affirmative Action Plan.
