Clean Room Services for Pharmacy

Contractor shall follow USP 797 and 800. Daily cleaning of all of the IV rooms is needed, sporicidal cleaning in Hazardous Room required daily M-F, sporicidal room cleaning in non-HD IV room required once weekly (which is more frequent that USP 797 requirement). IV rooms are cleaned inside out (clean to dirty). The Contractor shall supply the bags and mats whenever they need to be replaced? Response: Not sure what bags and mats are exactly in this scenario but we are expecting the companies to bring their cleaning supplies. VA currently uses Peridox for sporicidal and isopropyl alcohol for other uses but as long as the cleaning supplies meet requirement for USP 797, VA is fine with it. Contractor shall provide all the supplies needed/required to get the rooms cleaned, including clothes, wipes, mats, etc. What is the start time of the daily cleaning and disinfection process? Response: IV rooms need to be both fully operational by 8am. Our infusion clinic starts at 07:30 am, Contractor shall start services at 6:00 am. Will space be provided within the facility to store equipment and materials for the provision of services? Response: There is no place to store these items. Pharmacy is not granted any extra spaces and if the cleaning things need to be stored, this should be worked out with our Environmental Management Service (EMS) to see if their cleaning lockers may be shared, could be discussed with the COR after contract award.
