PRESOLICITATION NOTICE Project #659-20-200 - Police Radio Upgrade The Department of Veterans Affairs, 1601 Brenner Ave Salisbury, NC has a requirement for a contractor to provide all labor, material, supplies, equipment, transportation, permits, license and qualified supervision for Project 659-20-200, to install Fiber BDA Distributed Antenna system to specifically provide VA Police Radio coverage to those in-building areas that requires RF enhancement at the W.G. Bill Hefner VA Medical Center, Salisbury, NC. General Scope: This system will work with deliverables of the project; service seventy-five (75) Motorola APX6000 700/800Mhz and two (2) Motorola APX4500 700/800Mhz series radios and all associated equipment to manufacture specifications. All radios will be equipped with FIPS 140-2 encryption. There will be interoperability with existing infrastructure, specifically the ability to deploy new radio firmware, code plugs, and other items. All radios will be programmed with VA approved Public Safety radio frequencies and ensure they have the approved Motorola License/Hex Keys for all public safety frequencies registered with the VA and the State of North Carolina, otherwise known as a VIPER radio system. All VA Police Motorola Code Plugs are to be up to date and current before programming all radios. Construction will be done IAW; VA specifications, Design guides, Infection Control guidelines and all applicable codes. Construction will also be structured to require minimum interruption of space function during construction. Estimated construction magnitude is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. NAICS CODE: 236220 Size Standard: $39.5 Million This solicitation is anticipated to be a Total Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set-Aside. Solicitation material will be available on/about March 14, 2022. Any specifications, drawings and amendments will be posted on this web site.
