Operations Center Building Parking Lot Overlay

The selected contractor will pave the existing asphalt service (approx. 53,000 ft2) and the area that has just been excavated (approx. 4,500 Ft2). 1. Cement stabilize (~4,500 sf) by mixing an average of 35 lbs. Portland cement per square yard into average depth of (6") of existing crushed concrete based areas. Compact the stabilized material and add water to the stabilized base. 2. Mill out (2 layers) existing asphalt at concrete perimeters. 3. Saw cut, break out, and replacement of (~4,100 sf) failing asphalt. 4. Grade, strike off and haul off excess material. 5. Apply SS-1 tack coat to the perimeter edges of the work area.   6. Overlay (~53,300 sf) of parking lot with an average of (2 inches) of Type D Hot Mix Asphalt.   7. Roll and compact the asphalt.
