Marina Access Midblock Crosswalk

Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, with the exception of the bricks, equipment, maintenance of traffic and supervision required to construct a roadway brick crosswalk at the St. Augustine Municipal Marina located at 111 Avenida Menendez, St. Augustine, Florida 32084 pursuant to attached construction documents. The City will provide the bricks. Project consists of demolition of roadway pavement and concrete steps followed immediately with the construction of a brick crosswalk, which shall traverse Avenida Menendez and Marine Street with associated rapid flash beacons. The proposed Marina crosswalk is very similar to the recently finished crosswalk at Avenida Menendez at Hypolita Street. Construction shall include concrete steps with Americans with Disability Act (A.D.A.) ramp, curbed islands, pavement striping, signage, maintenance of traffic and maintenance of a pedestrian detour. With this project being located within the Heart of Downtown St. Augustine, it is imperative that the Contractor strive to maintain a clean construction site. All construction must be completed prior to the City’s annual Nights of Lights, which brings a much-increased volume of pedestrian and vehicular traffic. Therefore, construction must be completed by Friday November 13, 2020.
