NC-FWS Mackay Island Nwr-Aerial Spraying

Licensed helicopter applicators will apply herbicide to 300 acres of identified phragmites patches on Mackay Island National Wildlife Refuge, Knotts Island NC. The refuge will provide all the chemical for the application. The contractor is to provide the water and all application equipment needed to complete the task. Application Rate/Acre, Mixed and applied in one treatment (Refuge Provides the following) 3 Pints/ac glyphosate 3 Pints/ac Imazapyr 2 Pints/ac MSO Order of application (red areas on attached maps): Middle pool East Pool Hegge Impoundment West Marshes South Unit West Marshes North Unit Following application the contractor will provide the refuge with GIS shapefiles showing all areas treated within each flight path.
