Description

Job No. C-91-193-20, I-90 (Kennedy) from I-94 (Edens Expwy) to Hubbard Street, Phase III Project, Cook County, Region One/District One. This project may contain Federal Funds. This project requires 25% DBE participation, or if the contract goal is not met, documented evidence of good faith efforts. The Complexity Factor for this project is 0. The Consultant who is selected for this project and all Subconsultants the Prime Consultant will be using are scheduled to attend an initial meeting on August 4, 2022, at 11:30 AM at the Region One/District One Office in Schaumburg. Phase III engineering is required to provide construction inspection services for the above subject improvement. Work includes, but is not limited to, pavement patching, resurfacing, bridge replacement etc. Indicate pavement type, drainage, lighting, diamond grinding, bridge deck scarification and overlay, bridge deck repairs, expansion joint reconstruction, joint repairs, parapet reconstruction, substructure repairs, bridge drainage system repairs, adjusting bridge scuppers, structural steel repairs, PPC I-Beam repairs and replacements, FRP strengthening of PPC IBeams, slopewall repairs, approach slab repairs, pavement patching (Class A & Class B), SMA placement on the bridge approaches, overhead sign structure relocation, and all incidental and collateral work necessary to complete the project. The anticipated construction completion date is November 14, 2024. The Consultant must complete and submit final measurements, calculations, and final contract records documents to the department no later than six (6) weeks after the completion of the project. The Prime firm must be prequalified in the Special Services (Construction Inspection) category to be considered for this project. Statements of Interest, including resumes of the key people noted above, must be submitted electronically to the Central Bureau of Design and Environment through the Engineering Prequalification and Agreement System (EPAS). The firm acting as the prime must be prequalified in all the prequalification categories requested in the project advertisement even if they plan to subcontract part of the project, except where noted in a specific project advertisement. Any work being done by a consultant, prime or sub must be prequalified in the IDOT prequalification category of work they are performing.
