Description

The Bidder shall furnish all labor, insurance, equipment, materials and power for the complete performance of this project as follows: Rehabilitation of the bridge deck, including replacement of the existing overlay, patching of sidewalk, riprap for scour protection, lighting, and pavement markings. All in accordance with the Bidding Documents and Drawing No. ST- 0531X as prepared by Engineering Resources, Inc. for the City of Fort Wayne, Indiana. No bid will be accepted from, or contract awarded to any person, firm, or corporation that is in arrears to the City, upon any debt or contract, or who has failed to execute, in whole or in part in a satisfactory manner, any contract with the City; or, who is a defaulter as to surety or otherwise, upon any obligation to the City. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled time for receipt of bids for at least ninety (90) days to allow review of bids before announcing award of contract. The successful bidder may be required to furnish a satisfactory Labor and Material Payment Bond and Performance Bond each in the amount no less than one hundred (100%) percent of the contract price. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids for failure to comply with applicable laws and/or with the Instructions to Bidders. The Board also reserves the right to waive any defect in any bid. Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing.
