Norwalk High School

The new structure will be located on the same site of the existing occupied Norwalk High School. It is anticipated that the construction of the project will be phased due to the site constraints. It is expected that the phasing will be thought out thoroughly by the selected candidate and that all academic spaces are constructed in order for the students to move into their traditional classroom spaces and access their specials in the existing building while demolition of the old classroom spaces are underway. Once the classroom spaces of the existing building are removed, construction can begin on the new auditorium, gymnasium, kitchen and cafeteria. The construction of a pool will be included in this scope of responsibilities as an add alternate. At this time the City does not have the budget to construct the pool, therefore, the architectural firm was tasked with placing the structure to allow it to be built when the high school is nearing completion or complete.
