Description

The work generally consists of Streets, Bridge, Drainage, Water, Wastewater, Erosion Control, Retaining Walls and Lift Station Improvements. Bids to be addressed to Meritage Homes of Texas, LLC (the Owner ) and Double Eagle Ranch Public Improvement District (the District ). Any Proposals received after the closing date time will be unopened. Only those with checks received will have their bids considered. Any requests received after said time and date will not be addressed. All questions, clarifications and requests regarding the project must be received in writing via email to Rob Hesley(rob@cbdeng.com) A Cashier s Check, Certified Check, or Bid Bond payable to Double Eagle Ranch P.I.D., Meritage Homes of Texas, LLC, in an amount not less than 5% of the total bid must accompany each Bid as a guarantee that, if awarded the contract, the bidder will within 10 days of the award of the contract, enter into a contract and furnish an acceptable Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the Contract price. The Bidder s surety will be forfeited and become the property of the Owner should the bidder fail to enter into a contract and furnish bonds acceptable to the Owner within 10 days after award of the contract. Proposals shall not be withdrawn for a period of 90 days after the opening of the bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive all defects and irregularities in bidding or bidding process except time of submitting a Bid. The Successful Bidder, if any, will be the responsible Bidder which in the Owner s judgment will be most advantageous to the Owner and District and result in the best and most economical completion of the Project. A Maintenance Bond will be required in the amount of 10% of the contract price and is to remain in force for a period of two years from the date of the letter of final acceptance from the Bastrop County and Double Eagle Ranch P.I.D. Contractor agrees to provide to Corix a maintenance bond in a form and from a surety acceptable to Corix for all water, wastewater, and lift station facilities. The Maintenance Bond shall provide for the repair of any defects in materials, equipment or workmanship for the water, wastewater, and lift station facilities appearing within two years from the Completion Date, and shall be in an amount equal to 25% of the total construction costs for the water, wastewater, and lift station facilities. Prevailing Wage Rates, in accordance with Government Code 2258 are applicable to this project.
