Union West Regional Library Ceiling

1. Make HVAC modifications as shown on the attached Mechanical plan. Remove 14 x 10 grill and attach a 14 x 10 duct to the existing 14 x 10 duct. Each takeoff from the new 14 x 10, galvanized sheet metal duct shall have a manual volume damper. All ducts shall have 1” fiberglass duct wrap with vinyl covering. The duct shall be mounted such that it is not visible in the main library area. (As close to the new lay-in ceiling as possible.) Any required supports connecting to the existing wooden arch shall be neat in appearance, as approved by Union County and as small as possible. The diffusers shall be perforated, lay-in with the neck size to match the runouts shown on the sketch. (3 New Diffusers). 2. Add 24” x 48” light fixtures with LED lighting as shown on the attached sketch. The lights shall be LED and shall be powered from the fixtures above the arch. Any conduit or connections shall be neat, plumb and painted to match the adjacent walls. These new lights shall be switched by the same switch that controls the existing lights. (3 New Fixtures). 3. The lay-in ceiling shall be installed just above the existing side wall light fixtures. The required grid support shall be transparent and neatly attached with connectors suitable to be exposed to the existing wooden arch. 4. Coordinate the additions of all trades closely. The goal of this project scope is to make any added components related to HVAC, Lighting, or Ceiling not visible or very neat in appearance.
