Description

The Work consists of the following 1. Relocation of mechanical room and fire pump from basement to second floor. E. Project will be constructed under separate prime contracts. F. Contractors Duties: 1. Except as specifically noted, provide and pay for: a. Labor, materials, and equipment b. Tools, construction equipment, and machinery c. City water, heat, utilities, etc. required for construction d. Other facilities and services necessary for proper execution and completion of Work. 2. Secure and pay for, as necessary, proper execution and completion of Work, and as applicable, at time of receipt of bids: a. Permits including elevator inspection permits; b. Government Fees c. Licenses d. Inspections of all Work All bids are to be submitted electronically through the e-procurement platform and no physical copies of bids shall be accepted. All questions should be submitted through the e-procurement platform and shall be responded to through formal addenda if necessary to bidders electronically to all known plan holders. Bidder shall submit with the bid an electronic bid bond or electronic copy of a bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total price bid, but not in excess of $20,000.00, payable unconditionally to the Englewood Housing Authority, along with a Certificate (Consent of Surety) with Power of Attorney for the full amount of the bid price from a Surety Company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey and said Surety will furnish a consolidated Performance and Payment Bond in amounts of 100% of the successful Bidder's contract. If the Bidder is to submit a certified check or cashier's check it must be received at the Authority no later than the time stated above at and labeled clearly -- ALL OTHER DOCUMENTS MUST BE SUBMITTED ELECTRONICALLY. All Bidders are hereby notified that compliance with the most recently published and applicable DavisBacon Wage Requirements will be required in the performance of any contract awarded. All Bidders are hereby notified that compliance with the New Jersey Public Works Contractor Registration Act, N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48, et seq., will be required at the time of bid submission. All Bidders are hereby notified that compliance with the business registration provisions of P.L. 2004, c.57 will be required at time of contract execution. All Bidders, including corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships, and sole proprietorships, must submit a Statement of Ownership. During the performance of this Contract, the contractor agrees to comply with P.L. 1975, c. 127 (N.J.A.C. 17:27), "Law Against Discrimination", current regulations. The successful bidder will be required to obtain a Performance Bond for the full amount of the Contract and a Maintenance Bond for a percentage of the construction cost as defined in the specifications, both from a New Jersey Licensed Surety Company which is listed in the most recently published U.S. Treasury Circular No. 570. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any identified informalities or technicalities in the bidding, sever or make awards of all or parts of any bids to one of more responsible bidders if it is in the best interest of the Owner to do so to the extent allowable by law. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the bid opening without the consent of the Owner.
