Description | The project is generally described as replacement of four (4) housing unit hot water heaters at Pocahontas Correctional Center. 1. Scope of Work: a. Bidders are required to include a detailed written proposal in the bid submittal. Proposal must list the brand name and model number of equipment. If bidding equivalent, Bidder must provide detailed specifications of equipment for evaluation by Agency. b. Prevailing Wages apply to contracts for projects funded in whole or in part by state funds, valued at $250,000 or more. Time For Completion: The Work shall commenced 30 calendar days after receipt of order and shall be Substantially Completed within 30 calendar days. The Work shall be finally completed within 7 days after the date of Substantial Completion of the Work. If a delay in receipt of equipment prevents this deadline, documentation from the manufacturer must be provided. d. It is the responsibility of the Contractor to attend the pre-bid conference to observe existing conditions and evaluate adjustments needed. e. Contractor will not be allowed to bring truck inside the secure perimeter. Agency will transport all materials inside to work site for Contractor and will remove materials from work site. f. Agency requires at least one water heater in the Building to be operational within 72-hours once Contractor takes the heaters out of service, Contractor shall provide a backup system to ensure hot water is available to the building if this 72-hour requirement cannot be met. g. Work shall include compete furnish and install. The work shall consist of providing all materials, equipment, tools, and incidentals necessary to furnish, deliver, and install equipment. h. Work shall include removal of old equipment. Agency will dispose of all old equipment and materials. |
