Tonopah Field Office HVAC Replacement - BMDO

The work includes but is not limited to; provide all labor, site visits, consultants, support services for the design of the replacement of the Building 15 AHU’s and Chillers located in Building #15. Building 15 was designed in 1975 and constructed in 1978 and much of the HVAC components are original including the air handling units. The AHU that feeds the Basement and First floor (CLC) are 43 years old and need a full upgrade and replacement (including controls). The AHU’s have one fresh air intake and share other functions as well, these AHU’s need to be 100% separate from each other. A/E shall design to the latest HVAC Design manual as well as ASHRAE and CLC HVAC requirements. The three (3) 50-ton chillers are almost 15 years old and shall be replaced under this design. AE to determine the size of the new chillers as well as the quantity. It is assumed all supply and return piping (zones) would remain. Included in the design of the work will be the demolishing of the existing mechanical systems, `phasing for construction, as well as temporary AHU’s to support Building 15 basement and CLC.
