Description

Engineers Estimate Range: $325,000 to $375,000 PAVEMENT IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT This contract provides for asphalt pavement overlays at various locations within the City of Sedro-Woolley. Overlay work consists of 2-inch HMA overlay on Trail Road between SR 20 and Cook Road (approximately 1,500 ft) and Puget Street between Northern Avenue and SR 20 (approximately 1,200 ft). Overlay work will include planing, placement of paving fabric on Puget Street and pavement markings on Trail Road. Other work elements include traffic control and adjusting existing structures. This project is subject to all applicable Prevailing Wage statutes and regulations. The Bid Documents and addenda are available online. Contractors who download these Bid Documents are responsible for insuring that they are added to the plan holders list in order to receive any issued addenda. To be added to the plan holder's list, send an email to jrosario@ sedro-woolley.gov referencing Project No. 2022- PW-02, 2022 Pavement Improvements Project. Questions regarding this project may be directed to the City Engineer at dlee@ sedro-woolley.gov. All work shall be done in accordance with the Special Provisions of the Bid Documents, the 2022 WSDOT Standard Specifications for Road, Bridge, and Municipal Construction, including the amendments thereto, City Standards and other referenced documents. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Sedro-Woolley. The City of Sedro-Woolley, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. The City of Sedro-Woolley reserves the right to accept a proposal of the bidder submitting the lowest responsible bid, to reject any or all bids, revise or cancel the work to be performed, or do the work otherwise, if the best interest of the City is served thereby. The City of Sedro-Woolley also reserves the right to postpone the bid award for a period of thirty (30) calendar days after bid opening. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. It is understood and agreed that all work required to complete this project and to achieve the implied intent of the Plans and Specifications pertaining to it shall be completed within twentyfive (25) working days from and after the date to be stated in the Notice to Proceed
