Description | Services are needed to remove the existing Still Wells on Chocolate Bayou and install two new Still Wells at the boat lift on timber piles already existing at a height 3 feet above the Saltwater Barrier. Included in this work will be the completion of the 1-1/2” electrical conduit from its current position to be terminated into the Hydraulic Cylinder Housing. All precautions for the safety of the structure and personnel in the area of the work is required. A detailed process of the work for all phases in accordance with the tasks list below is required. Task 1: Remove the two (2) existing Stainless Steel Still Wells at their location near the Hydraulic Unit of the Cress Gate removing all hardware and mounts. Do not leave any mounting bolts protruding from the Saltwater Barrier. Dispose of the still wells offsite. Task 2: Install two new PVC Still Wells at the locations shown in the attached. This will need to be secured as illustrated in the attachment drawing (CBSWB-Stillwell detail). The PVC Still Well should be approximately nine (9) feet in length and install so that a minimum of three (3) feet is protruding above the concrete boat lift area of the Saltwater Barrier. The PVC Still Wells will be supplied and is currently at Chocolate Bayou. A cover for the new Still Wells will not be needed. All mounting brackets must be 316 Stainless Steel. Task 3: Install approximately two (2) linear feet of 1-½” Plasti-bond Electrical Conduit (supplied by GCWA) using a Meyers Hub and installing all conduit in accordance with the latest NEC Electrical Codes. Task 4: Install three (3) cables, one (1) for hydraulic cylinder and two (2) for the limiter switches. Connect into the Hydraulic Cylinder and run to the existing junction box. Label the limit switch cables as “up” and “down” on both ends of the cable. |
