Description

Base Bid: 1. Removal of existing vinyl double hung and fixed windows, complete, including joining and deflection mullions and accessories. Vertical structural members to remain. Owner has first right of refusal. a. Existing wood blocking may remain if structurally sound and compliant with window manufacturer’s recommended installation instructions. 2. Wrap existing 6” vertical structural members with vinyl to match new vinyl window finish. 3. Install/Replace wood blocking as required as per manufacturer’s installation specifications. 4. Install new vinyl replacement windows as shown on construction drawings and specifications, including all accessories, 0.75 thick Versatex Panel, or approved equal, to match recent police window replacement, joining and deflection mullions, complete. 5. Install new Versatex fascia board or approved equal at top of windows. Contractor shall be aware that the existing structural components of the building were hidden at time of drawings. Sections at drawn window details may differ slightly in field. 6. Remove existing hollow metal exterior doors and hardware as shown on plan except doors mentioned in Add Alternate bids below. Owner has first right of refusal for doors, hardware and/or parts. Locks and cores to be turned over to owner. a. Mag locks and key fob system to be salvaged and reinstalled by Contractor. Contractor shall coordinate all other hardware placement with existing system reinstallation. b. The baseplates for demolished hinges shall remain in floor. 7. Scrape, clean, patch, prime and paint any rust damaged areas on existing hollow metal door frames to remain. 8. Install new Flush FRP Doors and door hardware within existing hollow metal frames. Add Alternate A1: 1. Remove glazing panels on bottom row of storefront entrance, exterior glazing only. Owner has first right of refusal. Storefront framing to remain. Contractor shall make every effort to protect glazing stop when removing glazing. Any elements damaged shall be replaced, in kind, with no additional cost to the Township. 2. Install new 0.75 thick Versatex panel, White, or approved equal in place of demolished glazing panels. Reinstall existing glazing stops. Contractor shall verify existing glazing thickness prior to ordering new panel. Add Alternate A2 – Doors B.2 & H.2: 1. Remove existing hollow metal exterior doors and hardware at locations B.2 & H.2 as shown on Construction Drawings. Owner has first right of refusal. a. The baseplates for demolished hinges shall remain at floor. 2. Scrape, clean, patch, prime and paint any rust damaged areas in existing hollow metal door frames to remain. 3. Install new Flush FRP Doors and door hardware within existing hollow metal frames. Add Alternate A3 – Doors A.2, C.2, D.2, N& O: 1. Remove existing hollow metal exterior doors and hardware at locations A.2, C.2, D.2, N & O as shown on Construction Drawings. Owner has first right of refusal. a. The baseplates for demolished hinges shall remain at floor. 2. Scrape, clean, patch, prime and paint any rust damaged areas in existing hollow metal door frames to remain. 3. Install new Flush FRP Doors and door hardware within existing hollow metal frames. Add Alternate A4: 1. Doors B.2, M & O - Install ADA Automatic door openers and with 2 push buttons, surface mount (Single leaf, Each). 2. Door B.1 - Install ADA Automatic door openers and with (1) surface mounted wireless push button, (1) stainless steel pedestal with bolt flange mounted wireless push button. 3. Provide electrical requirements. See Key Plan for existing electrical panel locations.
