Description | The work consists of remodeling and new HVAC systems in the Courthouse and the Annex Building. The remodeling involves converting an existing 1,500 sq.ft. office space in the Courthouse into two separate office spaces for the Clerk of Courts and Child Support Agency Departments including new interior walls, doors, interior bullet resistant transaction windows, and new electrical. In the Courthouse, a new HVAC system for all the offices on the north corridor first floor will be installed to provide central air conditioning and fresh air. The new courthouse system will cover 9,000 sq.ft. and require all new ductwork and suspended ceilings with new LED light fixtures In the Annex Building, three new RTU will be installed to replace the existing RTU serving the 6,400 sq.ft. of offices on the south corridor of the building (includes the Health Department) to provide central air conditioning and fresh air. Some existing ductwork will be reused, some will need to be removed and replaced and some new ductwork will be needed. This area will be receiving a new roofing system under a separate contract in the fall of 2022, HVAC contractor will work with the roofing contractor on setting the new roof curbs for the new units during that portion of the work Courthouse and Annex building projects can be done at separate times during the construction period at the contractors discretion. Construction start date and completion date can be negotiated to fit the contractors workload and schedule. Please note on the bid under substitutions if an alternate construction period will be requested. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Bid bond, Certified Check, Cashiers Check, Bank check or Money Order, (but not a personal check or company check), in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid price, payable to Bayfield County as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bonds within the time set by the Owner or the bid guarantee will be forfeited. START DATE: June 13, 2022 COMPLETION DATE: January 27, 2023 PERFORMANCE AND PAYMENT BONDS: 100% of contract price. BIDDERS QUALIFICATIONS: Only qualified General contractors may submit bids on this project work. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waiver any informalities and irregularities in bidding, and to accept any bid deemed in the best interests of the Owner. All bids remain subject to acceptance for thirty (30) days after the day of the bid opening, but the owner may, in its sole discretion, release any bid and return it prior to that date. This project is subject to American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding construction project requirements, including those in the Supplemental Requirements of this Project Manual. |
