Description | This is a solicitation for installation of a concrete slab and bollards. Please see the attached SF-18 RFQ and other documents for more detailed information, including information on the scheduled site visit and how to respond and submit your quote. This is a total small business set-aside with a magnitude of between $25,000 and $100,000. Provide all labor, materials, equipment, 1 JC supplies, supervision, and transportation needed to complete concrete paving with bollards in front of building 5. Delivery: 90 Days After Notice to Proceed All work shall be done in accordance with (IAW) the terms and conditions, drawings, statement of work (SOW) and other attachments set forth in the RFQ. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. PROJECT REQUIREMENTS: a. Do not disturb hazardous materials and report condition immediately to the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) regarding potentially hazardous conditions that are uncovered. Stop work in the area of the questionable material or condition until identification and direction is provided. b. The Contractor's work shall adhere to the criteria stated within these project requirements, drawings, and specifications. All construction shall comply with applicable federal, state, and local code requirements as well as current industry standards, (i.e., IBC, NEC, NSPC, NFPA, EPA, ASTM, GSA, AASHTO, etc.) and health and safety codes, in effect at the time of contract award. c. Access the site between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm Monday through Friday excluding federal holidays. Contractor staff must sign-in on the first day of arrival and then sign-out on the final day of the project, upon completion. Background & Site Description: The space immediately in front (east side) of Building 5 requires paving. This area is principally used for loading and unloading equipment, plant material, and fruit from trucks using a forklift. The area is currently gravel with some crumbled asphalt. Description of Work: a. Provide concrete slab in front of building 5, 33' (east to west) by 80' (north to south). a. Remove 6" of existing material and dispose off site. Extend removal by 12" on all sides of slab. Slope subbase away from building. b. Proof roll subgrade prior to installing base and remove unsuitable or soft soils. c. Provide compacted 6" free draining crushed aggregate base under slab to limits of material removed. d. Provide complete separation of slab and building foundations with preformed joint filler. e. Provide 6" depth fiber reinforced concrete slab with 28-day minimum compressive strength of 4,000 psi. Provide broom finish. f. Sawcut contraction joints at a maximum spacing of 16' to a 1.5" depth. Cut joint as soon as the joint can be cut, without creating spalling at joint. g. Provide barricades to keep traffic off slab for minimum of 14 days. b. Provide 6 bollards to protect building at locations identified on site. a. Bollards to be 4" concrete filled steel bollard. Embed minimum 3' in ground in 1' diameter concrete filled hole. Slope concrete to drain at ground level. |
