Description | The Project includes the following work: Replacing existing grass softball and baseball fields (1 each) with synthetic turf, installation of new under-field drainage system, replacement of foul poles, outfield and perimeter fencing, project mobilization, demolition of existing fields, site preparation and related items, all in accordance with final plans, specifications and contract documents. The Instruction for Bidders, Form of Bid, Form of Contract, Plans, Specifications, and Form of Bid Bond, Performance and Payment Bonds, and other Contract Documents may be examined, and copies may be obtained at the following address: Scottsboro City Schools 305 S. Scott Street Scottsboro, AL 35768. Additional information related to the Project may be obtained by email from Jeremy Bain at Olympia Engineering ("Engineer") (jeremy@olympiaengineering.net). The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or technical errors, or to reject any or all bids if in their judgment, to do so would serve the best interests of the Owner. Each bidder must deposit with its bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Instruction for Bidders. All Bidders must comply with the requirements of the State Licensing Board for General Contractors (Lat-est Edition) and with Title 39, Code of Alabama, 1975 as Amended) relating to com!petitive bid laws for public works. All bidders must be properly licensed in accordance with the requirements of the State Licensing Board for General Contractors (Chapter 8, Title 34, Code of Alabama, 1975) and be certified for the type of work required for the Project. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Bidders must show satisfactory evidence of proper licensure before bidding. Failure to provide such evidence will result in rejection of the Bid for receipt or consideration by the Engineer. The Bidder's license number must be clearly displayed on the outside of the envelope in which the Proposal is delivered. Bids will not be accepted from General Contractors who do not attend the PreBid Conference. Minutes of the meeting will be prepared and issued to all Contractors who attend. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instruction to Bidders. |
