Description | **As of July 29, 2022, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established.** From qualified contractors with proven industry experience, to provide labor, materials, tools, equipment, and all else necessary, to furnish and install a 10x40 floating dock including timber piles located at the Birdseye Boat Ramp Facility. Refer to attached documents prepared by RACE Coastal Engineering. This contract is subject to state contract compliance requirements, including set-aside (25% SBE and 6.25% M/W/DisBE) and non-discrimination requirements enforced by the CHRO. Questions concerning conditions, bidding guidelines and specifications should only be directed in writing to: Mr. Phillip Ryan, Purchasing Agent: PRyan@townofstratford.com Inquiries must reference date of bid opening, requisition or contract number, and must be received no later than as indicated in the bid documents prior to date of bid opening. Failure to comply with these conditions will result in the bidder waiving the right to dispute the bid specifications and condition. The BID BOND furnished, as bid security, must be duly executed by the bidder as principal. It must be in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total estimated bid, as guarantee that, in case the contract is awarded to the bidder, the bidder will, within ten days thereafter, execute such contract and furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond. Small businesses may elect to obtain an irrevocable letter of credit or cashier's check in lieu of the Bid Bond. Such surety must also be in an amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the total estimated bid. The Town of Stratford reserves the right to require the successful bidder(s) to enter into such security arrangements and/or written contracts as deemed necessary to protect its property and goods and interests *The value for this project is based on a financial range of $50,000 - $100,000. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. |
