Replacement of Private Lead Service Lines at Various Locations

This work consists of the replacement of approximately 226 existing private side lead service lines with new copper water service from the curb box or copper tail location outside the roadway to the meter inside the property including associated restoration of lawn, sidewalk and drive approaches. Engineer's Estimate $823,655.00 A certified check or bid bond for a sum not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid will be required with each bid. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 45 calendar days after the date and time for receiving bids. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any and all Bids; to reject the Bid of a Bidder who is not, in the opinion of the Engineer or City, in a position to perform the contract; to waive informalities, irregularities and technicalities; to reject any and all non-conforming, non-responsive, unbalanced [unreasonable unit price(s)] or conditional Bids; or to advertise for new Bids. The City also reserves the right to award the Contract in the City's best interest, and therefore, may select a Bidder other than the lowest.
