St. Albans Federal Building Customs and Border Protection Port Bathroom Renovations, Full Port Refresh, and Air Handler Unit Replacement

A project has been developed to modify an existing HVAC system to make the system more efficient and easier to maintain as well as bringing them up to current code. The project will also entail renovation of approx. 10,000 square feet of existing office space. The work involves removing multiple constant volume air handler units and replacing them with more modern air handler units utilizing VFD's and VAV's. The existing boilers and hydronic components will remain. Major reconfiguration of some existing ductwork will be required and the system will need to be integrated into the existing building automation system. As stated, the project also includes renovations of existing office space within the first and second floors of the building. There will be some hazardous material removal included as part of this project as well as the removal of an existing concrete storage vault. The renovation includes upgrades to existing restrooms, reconfigurations of offices, fire and life safety upgrades, electrical and data upgrades as well as flooring and ceiling upgrades.
