Description | To decontaminate and sanitize, all interior non-porous (metal) surfaces and decontaminate and coat all interior porous surfaces (lined) (see ductwork insulation coating section 1.5) of the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning System (HVAC) associated with and including Air Handling Units 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 of Sandel’s Building as shown on the As Built Mechanical drawings for the building. Where internal insulation in ductwork is beyond salvage, the contractor shall replace the insulation and coat it using materials specified. The HVAC system is any interior surface of a buildings air distribution system for conditioned spaces and/or occupied zones. This includes the entire air moving system from the points that the air enters the system to the points where the air is discharged from the system. The return air grilles, air ducts (except ceiling plenums), supply air ducts, turning vanes, and reheat coils are considered part of the HVAC system. Exhaust systems are not considered part of the HVAC system. The drawings are intended to indicate diagrammatically the intent, character, and approximate location of work. Where work is indicated with minor details omitted, furnish, and install such work complete as required to perform its intended function |
