Description | Specifically, the work consists of the rehabilitation of Pump Stations No. 1 and No. 2, located off Route 206. Work shall include but not limited to replacement of the pump station pumps, pump accessories, piping and electrical upgrades. A pre-bid meeting will not be held. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or Bid Bond, in a form satisfactory and payable to the Township of Byram, in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the Total Bid Price, not to exceed Twenty Thousand ($20,000) Dollars. The Bid Bond shall function as a guarantee that, if the Contract is awarded to the Bidder, he will enter into an Agreement with the Township of Byram for completion of Work under the Contract, and additionally shall provide a Consent of Surety binding a surety licensed to do business within the State of New Jersey to furnish the required bonds. Bidders are required to comply with and accept the provisions of P.L. 1975 Chapter 127 and NJAC 17:27, regarding Affirmative Action. The attention of the bidder is called to the conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract. The successful Bidder shall be required to comply with the provisions of the Department of Labor's current wage rates determination, and the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act. The Township of Byram reserves the right to accept or reject any and all Bids or to waive informalities therein which, in its judgment, serves the best interest of the Township of Byram. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid during the period beginning upon Bid opening date and ending sixty (60) calendar days thereinafter. |
