DECO District Streetscape Improvement Project Phase 1: State Street

DECO District Streetscape Improvements Phase 1: State Street This Project Is the First Phase of the Deco District Streetscape Improvement Project and Consists of Streetscape Improvements Along 1600 Linear Feet of State Street in the City of Binghamton. The State Street Segment Includes Portions of Full Depth Reconstruction, Milling and Top Course of Pavements, Curb Installations, Curb Extensions, Sidewalk Reconstruction, and Upgraded Drainage and Water Utilities. Multiple Improvements Intended to Enhance Pedestrian Safety and Comfort Include Traffic Calming Curb Extensions, New Ada Compliant Pedestrian Ramps, Pedestrian Signals and Crosswalk Treatments, Accent Lighting Elements, Street Trees and Furnishings, Pedestrian Scale Signage, Raised Mid-block Crossings, and Landscape Improvements. The Landscape Improvements Include New Curbside Plantings, Street Trees With Structural Soils and/or Tree Grates, and Green Infrastructure Measures to Assist in Storm water Management Along the Street Corridor. This project also includes new water main and lateral installations and drainage infrastructure upgrades, included in the Contract provided by the City of Binghamton.
