Description

The Scope of Work includes, but is not limited to: Upgrades to the existing gravel driveway including the installation of new drainage culverts, grading, outlet protection, check dams, slope stabilization, reduction of steep slopes, guiderails, improved driveway shoulders, tree removal, parking lot improvements including geo grid plastic permeable pavers, permeable paver walkways, new drilled water well, sanitary holding tank, and new composite decking. Driveway drainage improvements (removal of existing piping, installation of swales, installation of new drainage pipe)shall be completed to allow the installation of electric and fiber to the building. Building modifications include bringing current building up to current energy code, gutter and downspout upgrades, removal of existing shed and new ADA compliant bathroom. Mechanical systems for the existing unconditioned building classroom spaces (mini-split heating and air conditioning system), exhaust fan and condensing unit. Plumbing systems for the new bathroom and utility sinks, new hose bib connection and associated work. Electrical systems including bringing electrical and fiber from existing power access point underground down existing gravel driveway, electrical connections to septic holding tank alarm and well motor pump and installation of new electrical panel system for connection to existing outlets and lights, power to new bathroom and other systems in the building and on site. The Scope of Work also includes: Additive bid for the driveway improvement work (geotextile fabric, new gravel). Allowances for the installation of a pump package and treatment system and electrical connections for the potable water supply as determined by the NYS Department of Health. Each bid must be accompanied by security in an amount not less than five percentum (5%) of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of opening thereof. The successful Bidder will be required to comply with state prevailing wage requirements of section 220 of New York State Labor Law. The attention of Bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contracts. This is an exempt capital improvement project, and Bidders shall not include in their bid sales and compensating use taxes on the cost of materials which are to be incorporated into the work and which are to be separately sold by the Contractor to Greene County prior to incorporation into the work of the Contracts. Greene County reservesthe right to waive any irregularities or informalities in the bid forms or during the bidding process, and to reject any or all Bids.
