Description | The Town of Moraga is a small suburban, semi-rural community of 17,416 located in Contra Costa County, California. It is nestled between Oakland and Walnut Creek in the East Bay region of the greater San Francisco Bay Area. The Town is responsible for the maintenance and repair of 55.95 centerline miles of paved public streets, including 13.8 miles of arterial, 15.8 miles of collector, and 26.3 miles of residential streets. The Project location is in various residential, collector, and arterial streets within the Town of Moraga with a PCI of 60 or below. The project's scope of work includes the following: mobilization; traffic control and construction signage; clearing and grubbing, including tree trimming; traffic striping, marking, and markers removal; removal and replacement of concrete curb and gutter and concrete valley gutter; installation of ADA compliant curb ramps; construction of asphalt concrete, pavement base repairs; crack seal; microsurfacing; cape seal; mill and overlay; installation of traffic stripes, markers and markings. The intent of this RFP/Q is to obtain technical and cost proposals for the construction management, inspections, and materials testing for the owners' quality assurance during the construction of the Project. It is anticipated that the Town will execute one single contract for construction management, inspection, and materials testing services. The budget for the services to be provided in response to this RFP/Q was established in the 2022/23 Town of Moraga CIP budget. The current Construction budget for the Project is: $3,800,000 The deadline to submit questions regarding this RFP/Q is Tuesday, July 19, 2022, by 5:00 PM PDT. The construction contract is anticipated to be awarded on August 24, 2022. Assume six (6) working days after award of a construction contract until NTP, one hundred twenty (120) working days after NTP until substantial completion, twenty (20) working days after substantial completion until final completion, sixty (60) working days after final completion until project closeout and Town Council Acceptance. Per TP8-03, paving and resurfacing operations shall be completed by October 14, 2022, unless approved by the Town. Any incomplete work shall resume no earlier than May 1, 2023, as the temperature allows. The work hour restriction shall be taken into consideration when submitting the proposal. |
