Description

RFP Engineering - Eucalyptus Park Renovations Bid Bond 0.00% Payment Bond 0.00% Performance Bond 0.00% Q&A Deadline 09/02/2022 5:00 PM (PDT) The City of Chula Vista ("City") is requesting proposals from qualified design teams to develop the master plan, park design, 100% construction documents, specifications and construction administration based on the Conceptual Plan included within the awarded grant application for Eucalyptus Park, CIP No.# PRK0340 ("Project"). Eucalyptus Park is an existing park in need of renovations. The design team shall include but not be limited to, Landscape Architecture (Lead Consultant), Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, signage, artful component, and cost estimating. The City will select the park design team based on qualifications, schedule, and proposed fees (a design competition is not utilized). Construction of the park renovations will be completed under a separate solicitation and contract. The City desires to obtain a proposal for design and pre-construction services from a team capable of delivering a creative and innovative urban park design to fulfill the recreational needs of the surrounding community. The selected design team shall provide the full range of services including developing the design based on the Project's approved Master Plan; commit to the Project's schedule; complete necessary surveys and studies; design development; community outreach; coordinate with City and other Agencies as applicable; complete 50% construction documents; submit a preliminary cost estimate, confirm other criteria as appropriate; and obtain City approval. Upon receipt of both the City approval of the 50% construction documents and the City's authorization to proceed, the team shall: Complete construction documents and specifications; establish and submit a project cost estimate; obtain City and Agencies approvals and publish a set of the construction documents for bidding purposes. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
