Description | The intent of this Invitation for Bid is to obtain contractor rate information and create a pre-approved list of local contractors to be on-call to supplement the City of Bridgeport's Department of Public Facilities' efforts in responding to repair and maintenance issues up to $100,000 within City of Bridgeport owned facilities related to the following trades: Electrical HVAC Plumbing Roofing The City will contract with up to four (4) vendors of each specified trade. The selected Contractors must be available on an 'on call' basis as work arises. The City is unable to forecast the frequency of use. The vendor with the lowest reflective pricing shall be the first contacted by any Contracting Officer wishing to procure those goods or services pursuant to this solicitation. Only for good cause shown and as approved by the Purchasing Agent (good cause includes vendor's inability in time or resources to satisfy the City's needs), the Contracting Officer then may procure, in price order, up the list of the selected vendors. Based on the nature of on-call work, any job awarded must be started shortly after notification. The City reserves the right to select the next ranking vendor if work is not started within the time specified in the task order. Generally, the work to be performed will include the maintenance, repair, replacement, and installation of materials in City-owned building throughout the City. The on-call contracts will primarily be utilized by the Department of Public Facilities through the issuance of task orders. Services shall be provided by well-established Contractors with a minimum of five (5) years' experience working in commercial buildings. The bidder shall have a significant pool of employees on staff to ensure appropriate staffing of the contract, as well as the financial capability to support the required payroll. NOTE: Travel Time is not billable. Any and all questions must be submitted no later than Friday, March 17, 2023. |
