Replacement Of Three (3) Diving Boards At the City Of Irwindale Aquatics Center

Phone calls will not be accepted. The Aquatics Division expects to respond to all questions by 4:00 p.m. (PST) on Friday , June 3 , 20 22 . The Aquatics Division will release an Addendum to RFQ holders and post a copy on the City of Irwindale Website at The City reserves the right to reject quotations with or without cause and for any reason, to waive any irregularities or informalities, and to solicit and re-advertise for other proposals or quotations. Incomplete or non-responsive quotations may be rejected by the City as non-responsive or irregular. The City reserves the right to reject any quotation for any reason, including, but without limitation, if the Vendor/Contractor fails to submit any required documentation, if the Vendor/Contractor is in arrears or in default upon any debt or contract to the City or has failed to perform faithfully any previous contract with the City or with other governmental jurisdictions. All information required by this RFQ must be supplied to constitute a quotation. No electronic submissions or facsimile transmissions will be accepted. Respondents are advised to carefully review submission instructions contained in the RF Q . Late RFQs will not be accepted and will be returned, unopened. SCOPE OF WORK A. Required Work: Vendor/Contractor shall provide and install three new diving boards for the 25-meter pool located at the Irwindale Aquatic Center, 16053 Calle de Paseo, in compliance with all current building code, health code and swimming pool requirements and inspections. The scope of work entails the following: 1. Removal and disposal of three (3) existing diving boards as outlined below. a. Three (3) 16' Diving Boards b. Six (6) handrails c. Two (2) one-meter stands with ladder d. One (1) three-meter stand with ladder 2. Replacement of three diving boards a. Three (3) Duraflex Diving Boards - 16' - Catalog #66-231-326 b. Two (2) one-meter Duraflex Stands with Double Handrails and Ladders c. One (1) three-meter Duraflex Stand with Double Handrail and Ladder d. Six (6) double handrails. 3. Must provide all required materials and any miscellaneous parts. 4. Install all necessary components including the ladder assembly, fulcrum assembly and main support assembly. The major components are heavy-duty aluminum castings coated with top quality epoxy power coating. 5. Must be in possession of a valid California Contractors State License Board C-53 Swimming Pool Contractor or C-61/D-35 Pool and Spa Maintenance Contractor License 6. All cost must include prevailing wages. The primary Vendor/Contractor is required to complete 51% or more of work on contract. 7. Request to have the diving boards installed after August 22, 2022 to avoid the summer season and shutting down the pool but no later than September 30, 2022.
