Description

THE PROJECT consists of furnishing all materials and equipment and performing all labor necessary for the upgrade and expand the existing Dawson Forest WRF to 1.25 MGD with new equipment and appurtenances as detailed in the specifications and as shown on the contract drawings. The work will be awarded in one Contract. Bee-qualification of Bidders is required for the Protect Beginning on June 21,2023, a copy of the application and qualification requirements can be obtained from the Etowah Water & Sewer Authority Engineering & Construction Department located at 1162 Highway 53 East, Dawsonville, Georgia 30534 or via email electronically from Tim Collins at titehintyTetywahwaterga.gov. ONLY BIDS SUBMITTED BY PROPERLY PRE-:QUALIFIED BIDDERS WILL BE OPENED.Pre-qualified Contractors will be notified when copies of Contract Documents are available. A BID BOND in the amount of 5 percent (5%) of the iotal base Bid shall accompany each Bid submitted. The Bid Bond shall be prepared on the Bid Bond form attached to the Contract Documents or a Surety Company's Standard Bid Bond, duly executed by the Bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company licensed to do business in the State of Georgia and listed in the latest issue of U.S. Treasury Circular 570. THE SUCCESSFUL BIDDER for this Contract will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and Payment Bond each in the amount of 100 percent of the Bid and liability insurances per the Contract Documents, Section 00 73 16 Insurance Requirements. THE OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities and to re-acivertise. All items must meet specifications as stated by Etowah Water & Sewer Authority. Etowah Water & Sewer Authority reserves the right to waive any technicalities and to reject or accept any Bid in its entirety or to accept any portion thereof if it is determined that either method results in lower costs, better service, final satisfaction or is otherwise determined to be in the best interest of Etowah Water & Sewer Authority. Determination of best response to Bid will be the sole judgment of the Etowah Water & Sewer Authority. Bid terms shall remain valid for ninety days from the date of the Bid opening.
