Water Main Installation Phase Two for at North Quadrant for the Trenton-Mercer Airport

Phase two of the water main installation at north quadrant for the Trenton-Mercer Airport located in Ewing Township, New Jersey, at the north quadrant of the Mercer-Trenton Airport. The project will be constructed under a single prime contract. The project scope includes the following major activities: 1. Mobilization 2. Furnish and install five (5) wet taps to the existing water main. 3. Furnish and install water main (10” and 6” DIP), associated valves, tees, bends, caps, couplings, reducers, and all other fittings to connect water mains as shown in the drawings. The top of water main shall be installed a minimum of 4 feet below grade. Contractor should be aware of potential utility conflicts that may arise, a minimum of 20 test pits shall be included with the pipe proposal cost. Also, dewatering of the trench, if any, shall be included. 4. Disconnect and cap old fire hydrant connections and install six (6) new fire hydrants (including fire hydrants assembly). 5. Water main disinfection and pressure testing 6. Soil erosion and sediment control measures 7. Cleanup, restoration and grading 8. Road reconstruction 9. Grass restoration 10. Concrete Curb and fence restoration, if and where directed. 11. Traffic control for the work associated with the installation of the water tap, base paving and final paving along Scotch Road and traffic control for the work crossing Sam Weinroth Road.
