Construction of Aerial Utility Adjustments

The work covered by this special provision consists of installing a traffic signal and fiber optic cable to the satisfaction of the City Engineer or representative. The contractor is to install the traffic signal and fiber optic cable as required, in order to construct a fully operating traffic and fiber optic communications channel. Remove and reinstall existing communications cable, loop lead-in, signal cable, span wire per the project utility make ready plans. transfers of existing communications cable, loop lead-in, signal cable, span wire per the project utility make ready plans. Perform transfers as directed by the Engineer. Trim brush as needed/directed on the plans. Resag all spans as necessary per the project utility make ready plans. Remove existing cables from pole to be removed and adjust these cables/spans and any existing attachment hardware per the project utility make ready plans. Remove all communications, signal hardware from existing pole. Furnish and install any new attachment hardware as required.
