Description | ESBEs : 13.23% The purpose of the project is to address safety and traffic operational deficiencies at the Route 30 and Gibbsboro Road intersection. The Route 30 and Gibbsboro Road intersection currently has the highest crash among signalized intersections in the state. The section of Route 30 from MP 13.45 to 13.65 has an actual crash rate of 36.43 crashes/MVM, which is almost six times higher than the statewide average of 6.20 crashes/MVM for roadways with similar cross sections. Between Years 2013 and 2015, more than 100 left turn crashes were reported at the intersection, with 28 reported on Route 30 EB and 72 reported on Route 30 WB. Left turn crashes account for 70.47% of the total crashes at the intersection, which well exceeds the statewide average of 9.95%. The Route 30 and Gibbsboro Road intersection is also included along a segement of Route 30 that is ranked 35 out of 230 on the Pedestrian Safety Management System and #27 out of 375 on the Bicycle Crash List. |
