Term Bridge and Tunnel Inspection Engineering Consultants

Qualified consulting firms with proven experience to provide professional bridge and tunnel inspection services on an as-needed basis as directed by the Authority. The scope of work shall include, but not be limited to the following: (1) Perform bridge inspections for all current and future bridges owned and operated by Massport per the NBIS on bridge inspections as assigned. (2) Perform analyses of bridge components, including but not limited to decks, expansion joints, beams and columns if directed. (3) Perform tunnel inspections for all current and future tunnels owned and operated by Massport per the NTIS for tunnel inspections. (4) Perform reviews of Bridge Rating Reports for any new Massport Bridges that are constructed during this term contract as directed. (5) Perform analyses on overhead signs, sign foundations, and traffic signal foundations as assigned. (6) Provide recommendations for repairs based on the above analyses. (7) Prepare engineering cost estimates for proposed repair work as required. (8) Prepare written reports of findings as required and submit to the Authority and to the MassDOT 4D system as directed by Massport. (9) Prepare work plans in accordance with MPA direction. (10) Coordination of traffic/police details with MPA, MBTA, State Police, and Capital Programs.
