Furnish and Deliver Road Base Materials - Crushed Concrete and Asphalt Millings

The Nassau County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) is seeking bids from qualified vendors to furnish and deliver crushed concrete and asphalt millings on an as needed basis. No purchases are guaranteed. Materials shall be delivered to the following two (2) locations upon request: 1. Hilliard Yard 37356 Pea Farm Road Hilliard, FL 32046 2. Yulee Yard 86200 Gene Lasserre Boulevard Yulee, FL 32097 Bid Bond (If Applicable): A Bidder submitting a response that is valued at One Hundred Thousand Dollars and 00/100 ($100,000.00) or more must submit a Bid Bond payable to the County for five percent (5.0%) of the total amount of the response in order for their submittal to be considered responsive The Bid Bonds of the unsuccessful Bidders shall be returned by the County, and the Bid Bond of the Awarded Bidder(s) will be retained until Performance and Payment Bonds have each been executed and approved, after which time the Awarded Bidder(s)’ Bid Bond will be returned. A certified check may be used in lieu of a Bid Bond and shall be payable to the Nassau County. Bidders who fail or refuse to provide a required Bid Bond will be disqualified from further consideration. Performance/Payment Bond (If Applicable): If awarded a contract for a project totaling one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000.00) or more, the Awarded Bidder(s), within ten (10) calendar days of the Contract execution, must provide an acceptable Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100.0%) of the Contract, and issued by a corporate surety licensed to do business in the State of Florida and Nassau County, for the faithful performance of the work outlined in the enclosed Technical Specifications/Scope of Work The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, with or without cause, without recourse, or to waive technicalities or to accept bids which, in its sole judgment, best serve the interests of the County
