On-Street Parking and Curb Lane Management

On-street parking and curb lane management system and is developing a strategic action plan to guide this progression. The resulting strategic action plan will serve as a guiding document for the City and its selected Service Provider for On Street Parking Curb Lane Management. The City’s metered on-street parking system currently consists of the following attributes: Approximately 1,159 metered parking spaces are managed with pay-by-space and payby-plate technology. On-street parking is managed in the City Center, Elizabeth, NoDa, Plaza-Midwood and South End Districts (Appendix A). The existing meter infrastructure includes: 1. 47 Multi-Space t2 Luke meters used to manage 296 on-street parking spaces; 2. 606 Single-space Meters; a. 563 coin and credit card accepting IPS meters b. 43 coin only Duncan Eagle meters; and 3. Mobile App payment is offered at spaces across the on-street parking system Metered on-street parking is enforced Monday-Friday, 7:00AM - 6:00PM. Additionally, the City’s curb lane system consists of five (5) Residential Parking Permit (RPP) zones, 35 commercial vehicle and passenger loading zones and 25 valet stands.
