| Description | Scope of work for the project will include the removal, disposal and replacement of a portion of the concrete curbs and sidewalks on both the south side and a portion of the concrete curbs and sidewalks on the north side of Depew Avenue between South Midland Avenue and Highland Avenue (aka US Route 9W) as shown on the contract documents. Select sections of removal, disposal and replacement concrete curbs and sidewalks on the north side of Depew Avenue between Crosby Street and Highland Avenue may be included as an alternate if the budget allows. The limits will be marked in the field. The total scope of work for the major items of the base bid this project includes the construction of approximately 225 SY of concrete sidewalk, 5 inch thick, 500 LF of 6” X 8” X 20” concrete vertical curb, 70 SY of concrete apron, 6 inch thick, 32 SF of embedded detectable warning surfaces for handicapped ramps, driveway repairs, concrete grinding and other associated work as shown on the plans for a complete, in place project. The Village will be responsible for providing traffic control during the course of construction. The Village will restore disturbed areas with topsoil and seed, as well as re-set any street poles disturbed by construction. Minority and Women Owned Businesses are encouraged to submit bids. | ||||
