Biomedical Waste Collection and Disposal

This project supports the County’s Needle-Collection Program and generated contaminated waste products from patient and animal treatment. The County’s Needle-Collection Program helps the public in disposing of needles and lancets that have been used at home in the treatment of an illness. The public collects their waste in a 2-gallon container provided by the County and then drops off their waste container at the County’s Fire Stations. This project also supports the medical treatment activities of the Department of Corrections, County Health Department, Animal Control Office and Fire Rescue and Emergency Medical Services located in the County. The Contractor shall provide biomedical waste disposal services as indicated by this statement of work.
