A. Demolition: 1. Existing Rotating Biological Contactors (RBCs) a. Existing Unit Process Will Be Decommissioned as Part of This Project. b. The Structure Will Be Considered for Removal Under an Additive Alternate. 2. Existing Trickling Filter a. Existing Unit Process Will Be Decommissioned as Part of This Project. b. The Structure Will Be Considered for Removal Under an Additive Alternate. 3. Existing Sludge Drying Beds a. The Drying Beds Will Be Decommissioned and Removed. 4. Existing Equipment Building a. The Building Will Be Used for Temporary Sludge Dewatering Operations. 5. Existing Aerobic Digester a. The Structure Will Be Decommissioned and Removed. B. Site Work: 1. Temporary Facilities (power, storage, etc) 2. Site Grading and Earthwork. 3. Fencing and Security. 4. Paving and Restoration. 5. Storm Water Replacement and Management (SWPPP). 6. Site Piping (digested sludge, primary effluent, return activated sludge, potable water, mixed liquor suspended solids, sanitary sewer, tertiary effluent, chemical feed). 7. Site Electrical, Gas, Communications, and Lighting. 8. New Tertiary Effluent Metering Structure and Connect to Existing Chlorine Contact Tank. 9. New Effluent Composite Sampler. C. Raw Sewage Pump Station and Screening System Rehabilitation: 1. This work will be considered under a Deductive Alternate. 2. Modify Influent Northfield Force Main Upstream of Pumps. 3. Replace Existing Screw Pumps, Grout, Controls, Ancillary Connections, etc. 4. Construct Screw Pump Bypass Connection for Northfield Force Main and Overflow. 5. Remove Existing Comminutor and Install New Mechanical Fine Screen, Grout, Controls, Ancillary Connections, etc. 6. Rehabilitate Existing CIP Concrete Structure. D. Aerated Grit Removal System Rehabilitation: 1. This work will be considered under a Deductive Alternate. 2. Remove Existing Equipment, Pads, and Support Systems. 3. Install New Blowers, Air Lift Pump, Rolling Grit Unit, and Grit Classifier. 4. Fabricate and Install Insulated Jacket Around New Grit Classifier, Including Heating System. E. Primary Effluent Pump Station Rehabilitation: 1. Remove Existing Equipment, Piping, Wet Well Elevated Slab, Access Hatches, and Electrical/Controls. 2. Install New Equipment, Piping, Grating, and Electrical/Controls. F. Construction of New Three-Ring Oxidation Ditch: 1. Construct New Cast-In-Place Concrete Structure. 2. Install Oxidation Ditch Equipment and Support Systems. 3. Install Piping, Valves, Bridges, Stairs, Slide Gates, Sluice Gates and Weirs. 4. Install Divider Walls in Outer Ring of Ditch for Biological Process, Aerobic Digestion, and Digested Sludge Storage. 5. Install Aerobic Digester Blowers, Process Air Piping, Valves, and Diffuser System. 6. Install Controls Support Systems. 7. Construct New Cast-In-Place Concrete Process Control Building Adjacent to Oxidation Ditch for Electrical Support Systems, Piping, and Sludge Transfer Pumps. G. Construction of New MLSS Diversion Structure: 1. Construct New Cast-In-Place Concrete Structure. 2. Install Piping, Weirs and Slide Gates. H. Construction of New Tertiary Clarifiers: 1. Construct Two New Cast-In-Place Concrete Structures. 2. Install Clarifier Rotating Assembly, Piping, Bridges, Stairs, Weirs/Baffles, and Electrical Support Systems. 3. Furnishing and Installing Aluminum Covers on New Clarifiers will be Considered as an I. RAS Pump Station: 1. Construct New Cast-In-Place Concrete Structure, Common-Wall with Tertiary Clarifiers. 2. Install New Equipment, Piping, Valves, Hoisting System, Grating, and Electrical/Controls. J. Sludge Pump Station Rehabilitation: 1. This work will be considered under a Deductive Alternate. 2. The Interior of This Building Will Be Demolished, Including Removal of All Existing Walls, Mechanical and Process Equipment, Electrical, and Plumbing Unless Noted Otherwise. 3. Install Piping, Valves, Stairs, and Mechanical Equipment. K. Anaerobic Digester Complex Rehabilitation: 1. The Entirety of This Work Will Be Considered Under an Additive Alternate. 2. Remove and Replace Existing Roofing System. 3. Remove Existing Floating Steel Cover on North Digester. 4. Install New Fixed Steel Cover on North Digester. L. Lab and Administration Building Rehabilitation: 1. Existing Building is a Pre-Engineered Metal Structure That Contains Offices, Restrooms, Garage, and a Second Story Mezzanine. 2. The Interior of This Building Will Be Demolished, Including Removal of All Existing Walls, Insulation, Mechanical Equipment/Ductwork, Electrical, and Plumbing Unless Noted Otherwise. 3. Proposed Improvements Will Include New Power Distribution and Support Equipment for the Wastewater Treatment Facility in an Electrical Room, SCADA office, Superintendent’s Office, Break Room, Mechanical Room, Men’s Locker Room, Women’s Locker Room, and a Laboratory. M. Sludge Handling Facility: 1. Construct New Cast-In-Place Concrete and Masonry Sludge Handling Building. 2. Relocate Temporary Dewatering Skid and appurtenances to new Sludge Handling Building. 3. Install Sludge Dewatering Systems (pumps, polymer unit, protected water system, protected water system, piping, valves, sludge screw press, and appurtenances), Stairs/Grating, Hoisting Systems, Conveyors, and Electrical/Controls. 4. Construct New Cast-In-Place Concrete and Pre-Engineered Metal Superstructure for Sludge Storage Barn. 5. Additional Sludge Dewatering Systems Will Be Considered Under an Additive Alternate.
