Description

S. Main St. Improvements. The Village prefers that the contract work be completed by November 15, 2024. However, if all of the work does not get done in 2024, the project will be suspended. All work must be completed by June 14, 2025. The work under this contract consists of constructing an aggregate base, HMA binder and surface courses, concrete curb & gutter, driveways, P.C.C. sidewalks, pavement markings, miscellaneous removals and other incidental and collateral work as shown on the plans and as specified herein. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Contract Bond to the Village of Mackinaw in an amount equal to the contract price. In accordance with 820/ILCS 130/3 and 130/5, this contract is subject to all of the requirements of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, is subject to the payment of prevailing wages. The Contractor and Subcontractors are required to submit monthly certified payroll records. In accordance with Public Act 96-0635, effective 1/1/08, all Contractors and Subcontractors, performing any contractual public work subject to the Prevailing Wage Act, shall have in place a written Substance Abuse Prevention Program filed with the public body engaged in public works. A cashier's check, a certified check or a Bid bond, payable to the Treasurer of the Village of Mackinaw, Illinois, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid price, as a proposal guarantee, shall accompany each such bid. The Board of Trustees of the Village of Mackinaw reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities and irregularities in any or all bids.
