Description | This project consists of widening & reconstruction of 1.6 miles of US-40 from 2 lanes to 5 lanes in addition to the reconstruction of 1.1 miles of ramps at the interchange of US-40 and CR-705 Airport Access Road that is located south of the Dayton International Airport in Montgomery County. This project includes miscellaneous drainage and water quality improvements, signing & pavement markings, traffic signal upgrades at 5 intersections & interchange lighting, relocation of waterline, and extension of an existing four-sided precast concrete box culvert. The project limits for US-40 improvements extend from 2,550 feet west of Union Airpark Boulevard to 50 feet east of Ramp B / Ramp D. This project includes miscellaneous drainage and water quality improvements, signing & pavement markings, traffic signal upgrades at 5 intersections & interchange lighting, relocation of 16-inch waterline, and extension of an existing four-sided precast concrete box culvert.
