Description | In general the work consists of: Repair existing stone wall and security metal bars on the Institutions perimeter wall. Chip out damaged mortar and fill back in with approved mortar, remove caulking from stone cap joints and install new caulking. Remove rust on exterior security bars, prime and repaint. Remove and realign stones in base. All work shall match existing due to this wall being on the Historical Registry The Division of Facilities Development, hereinafter termed DFD, hereby announces that it is advertising for bids from certified contractors for the above project All potential bidders must become certified by DOA prior to submitting bids on state construction projects with budgets over $50,000. All bids received from contractors who are not certified will be rejected. These changes take effect January 1, 2014. Contractor certification applications and instructions for completing the form may be obtained from the DOA 22 Website The 2017-2019 Wisconsin State Budget (2017 Wisconsin Act 59) repealed Wisconsins prevailing wage laws. Effective September 23, 2017, state prevailing wage requirements on state building projects no longer apply. These changes take effect for projects advertised for bid after September 23, 2017. This change does not affect the Federal Davis Bacon Act requirements. Attendees to bring only what is necessary. All equipment and tools (camera, screwdriver, tape measure, etc.) required or needed for the pre-bid tour must be identified at least 24 hours in advance and be approved by the Facility Security Director to be brought into the facility. No device capable of communications (phones, laptops, etc.) will be allowed in. If taking of pictures is allowed, the picture shall not include facility personnel or inmates and must be approved by the DOC Facility Escort Officer prior to taking the photo |
