Chicago Sanitary Ship Canal Electric Dispersal Barrier Boat Shed

PROJECT INFORMATION: The contractor shall be required to build a new non-conductive storage/boat shed with pull-through doors, likely to house four boats. The shed dimensions shall be 100ft x 40ft x 18ft (L x W x H). Additional features may include and are not limited to a gravel road to the building, heating, electricals, equipping the shed with a basic wash station, restroom, and wall partitions. The site is the Chicago Sanitary Ship Canal Electric Dispersal Barrier Campus in Romeoville, IL. The shed will be located specifically on the west bank of the canal. The planned contract will also include an option to replace a fence currently in place with a non-conductive fence; the new fence shall address touch potential shock risk due to the presence of stray electric currents.
