Description | For Contract #2 - WWTP New Headworks Building. Construction time limit is (270) calendar days with liquidated damages of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) per day. City of Bridgeport Contract #2 - WWTP New Headworks Building This project consists of the installation of a new headworks building consisting of mechanical screening equipment, grit removal equipment, grit washing equipment, concrete influent channel, manual bar screen, parshall flume, effluent pump station and controls, back-up emergency generator, control room, telemetry, site piping, and other miscellaneous items of work. A two-envelope system will be used. Each must be submitted in a sealed envelope. Envelope No. 1 must have the following Information presented on the front: Name and address of Bidder, Bid on City of Bridgeport Contract #2 - WWTP New Headworks Building. Received by the City of Bridgeport, 515 West Main Street, Bridgeport, WV 26330. Envelope No. 2 labeled "Bid Proposal" shall also be placed inside of Envelope #1. A bidder may not withdraw the Bid for a period of ninety (90) days after the date set for the opening of bids. Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to City of Bridgeport in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid. Bidders must comply with the Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Copeland Anti-Kickback Act, and the Contract Works Hours Safety Standards Act. Contractor is required to provide the Drug Free Workplace Certification in accordance with WV Code 21-ID-5. All Bidders are required to have a West Virginia Contractor's License per Section 21-11-11 of the West Virginia Code. Upon receipt for bids, kindly respond with expression of interest by March 17, 2023 to Matthew Fluharty, PE, Principal, and CEC via email at mfluharty@cecinc.com. The City of Bridgeport reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Bids received after the scheduled closing time for the reception of bids will be returned unopened to the bidders. |
