Solid Waste Collection (Base Period)

The contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, materials, licenses, permits, tools, insurance, transportation, equipment, and container maintenance for refuse collection at Mammoth Cave National Park. Dumpsters and containers listed in the pick-up schedule shall be emptied on each scheduled day. Each refuse container shall be completely emptied of its contents each time the container is scheduled for pick-up. After emptying, the Contractor shall return the dumpsters and other containers to their proper station. Cans shall be lined with a plastic liner, be in an upright position, and have the lid securely in place. Adequate measures shall be taken to prevent spillage of refuse during pick-up operation. All refuse spilled during this operation shall be cleaned up prior to leaving the site. In addition, the Contractor shall collect and dispose of all liter within 10 feet of any dumpster and/or garbage can. The Contractor shall also collect and dispose of all litter encountered while walking to the garbage cans along trails in the developed areas. The Contractor shall notify the COR immediately of any material too large to fit in the dumpster.
