Description | The Erie County Water Authority will receive separate, sealed bids for the furnishing of all labor, plant, tools, equipment and specified materials or services for SMALL SERVICES CONTRACT, AREA #1 The Work consists of the installation or replacement of water service lines from the Authority's watermains to the customer's property line and other related work. Whenever the Erie County Water Authority is operating under a Declaration of Emergency due to a pandemic or other general state of emergencies, members of the public may be precluded from being present at such bid opening. ANYONE ENTERING THE SERVICE CENTER OR OTHER AUTHORITY FACILITIES IS SUBJECT TO SUCH RESTRICTIONS OR LIMITATIONS IN PLACE AT THE TIME OF ENTRY. All bids being mailed (including FedEx, UPS, Priority Mail, etc.) or delivered shall be directed to the "SERVICE CENTER FRONT DESK" at the address listed above in a sealed envelope and be clearly marked on the outside of the mailing or hand-delivered envelope "BID ENCLOSEDSMALL SERVICES CONTRACT, AREA #1 02/01/2023 THROUGH 01/31/2025; ECWA PROJECT No. 202300001". Documents may also be obtained by writing the Service Center Front Desk at the above address or calling 716-684-1510, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Contract Documents will be mailed to prospective bidders wishing to obtain a set upon receipt of prospective bidder's charge number for UPS or FedEx. The mailing date will be considered the bidder's date of receipt. Partial sets of documents will not be available. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. In accordance with State Finance Law 139-j and 139-k, all questions about meaning or intent of the bidding documents shall be submitted to the designated contact person in writing. The Erie County Water Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to accept any bid deemed to be for the best interest of the Water Authority even though the proposal chosen may result in the award of the contract to a bidder whose bid is not mathematically lowest. |
