Description | This project contains six independent scopes of work and are described below: Base Bid A – civil furnish and install, splice vaults #5A and #5B to riser structure 7- 1737-114 Base Bid B – civil furnish and install, splice vault #1 to STA 62+00 Base Bid C: a. civil furnish and install, Lake Highland to splice vault #1 b. civil furnish and install, Weber to Lake Highland (Line 5-0137-1) c. civil furnish and install, Weber to Lake Highland (Line 5-0137-2) d. civil furnish and install, Line 5-37BBT (STA 20+83 to STA 23+80) Base Bid D – electrical furnish and install, Lake Highland to riser structure 7-1737-114 Base Bid E: a. electrical furnish and install, Weber to Lake Highland (Line 5-0137-1) b. electrical furnish and install, Weber to Lake Highland (Line 5-0137-2) Base Bid F – civil furnish and install, STA 62+00 to splice vaults #5A and #5B These specifications cover the furnishing and installation of the ductbank, splice vault, and communication handhole infrastructure for Base Bid A. Base Bid A infrastructure begins at splice vaults #5A and #5B and ends at the riser structure 7-1737-114, approximately 200 feet south of Lake Underhill Road in an existing Orlando Utilities Commission overhead right of way. The furnishing and installation of splice vaults #5A and #5B are part of this scope. The new cable system shall consist of cross-linked polyethylene cables pulled into a concrete encased ductbank system, primarily installed via open cut trenching techniques. There are locations along the proposed alignment, however, where trenchless crossings exist. Below grade vaults will be positioned along the route accordingly, for cable pulling and splicing. The system has a required ampacity of 2000 A (796 MVA). From splice vaults #5A and #5B to riser structure 7-1737-114, the transmission line is approximately 24,659 feet (4.67 miles). The Contractor is to provide miscellaneous materials and services to complete the installations as specified herein and in accordance with the Orlando Utilities Commission contract documents. The base period of time for performance of the work from mobilization to final completion is fifteen months. Bidders are to provide a milestone schedule with time durations time for completion of each milestone. The exact start date is not yet known but it is anticipated the earliest time would be mid-May to early June 2020. This time frame is subject to change based on permitting and other similar factors not within OUC’s direct control.
