| Description | This project involves the preparation and paint application for the exterior of the Main House, Kitchen Building, and Breezeway at the Kingsley Plantation (approximately 10,000 sq ft of wood surfaces) located within the Timucuan Ecological and Historic Preserve in Jacksonville, FL. (It is the offeror's responsibility to field-verify all measurements.) This project involves the preparation and paint application for wood surfaces only. The exterior siding and trim on the North, South, East, and West elevations, as well as the facia on all elevations, the painted exterior doors (both sides, unless noted), trim around all windows and doors, and all columns on the porches. All loose and cracked paint removed, and bare wood will be primed and then painted with two coats of finish paint. The underside of porch roofs, all decking, stairs and railings, all roof decorative features including widows walk, and north elevation siding where existing paint is properly adhered, shall be powerwashed using a 65 degree soap/chemical nozzle at no more than 50 PSI for applying a cleaning solution and rinsing off the building. All loose paint shall be scraped or sanded and rough edges shall be hand sanded to "feather in". All other exterior wood components will be examined to ensure compatibility of the total system. Masonry, and components not currently painted will not be included in this project. | ||
